Help Keep Wales Tidy! Community

Keep Wales Tidy is fantastic charity that supports thousands of volunteers across Wales to improve the local environment for all of us to enjoy. KWT Projects Director Louise Tambini, would like to make a plea to all Italian cafe and fish shop owners, to try and encourage them to donate the proceeds of the single use carrier bag charge to Keep Wales Tidy so they can continue to give out grants to groups across Wales.

Peter and James Marenghi run for Multiple Sclerosis Community

Father and son team, Peter Marenghi Jnr and James, will be runing the London Marathon together, and both will be running to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre. Peter, who was diagnosed with MS back in 1980’s first ran the London Marathon for the MSRC in 2008.

Apulia UK Academy sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute, British Council, the Region of Puglia, the British Consulate-General in Milan, is pleased to present GENIUS LOCI 2010. The International Photography Prize aims to promote emerging photographers of all nationalities residing in Italy and the United Kingdom.


A fantastic opportunity has come along giving two lucky applicants the chance to gain a Masters degree at either the University of Bologna or the University of Parma. A special Commission will select two participants (young graduates who have enrolled and are deemed eligible in accordance with the criteria of the university calls) to each of the Master.


To mark the 70th anniversary of the Arandora Star disaster and the unveiling of the Arandora Star Memorial in Wales at Cardiff’s Metropolitan Cathedral, BBC and ITV Wales News correspondents Nick Servini and Marie Claire Ceri Jones made personal reports on the tragedy and how it affected the Italian community in Wales.
