From Jam with RoBina:
So, WE’VE MADE IT TO LONDON!!!!!
Back in April this year we played the first round of an international battle of the bands competition. 4 gigs later we are faced with the exhilarating reality of playing in London, competing against the top unsigned artists in the UK and Europe. Some 20,000 bands applied to play this year, and we’re proud to be in the final.
Also, we’re representing Wales as the only Welsh band in the final.
Details of the final are as follows:
Venue: Indigo O2, London
Time: 10:30 am (first band is on at 10:50 am)
Date: 29th September 2012
Stage Time: TBC on the day
Set Duration: 15 minutes per band
We will find out our stage times at 8am on the morning of the gig. As doors open at 10:20 you’ll need to be there then in case we have the first slot which is at 10:50 am (this is beyond our control as the festival organisers want to make sure the venue is packed all day long to give the festival an awesome atmosphere – but we promise to let you know our stage time as soon as we do).
Tickets can only be bought here: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/35004915EF0B2A43
We’ll be heading down VERY early on the morning of the gig, so anyone wishing to come to the gig will need to arrange transport amongst themselves. We’d love for you to be there, any support is much needed (crowd reaction and fan base are part of the judging criteria) and hugely appreciated as it’ll give us the best chance possible at winning the £100,000 pot of prizes.
If you can’t make it but would still like to offer support, text votes still count: Text the word WALES followed by a space and then 6036 and send it to the number 64343.
The final is being treated as a festival of unsigned music. You’ll get to watch 28 of the best unsigned bands playing under 1 roof over the course of a day. Our suggestion if you can make it is treat it like a festival, get there nice and early and watch all the bands. We expect the quality of music to be of the highest order and the experience to be incredibly unique. We hope you can join us. If you do come, please remember your Imaginary Space Club t shirts, its always a nice touch 🙂
Finally, we’d just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has supported us this far. Be it by coming to the gigs, text voting, tweeting, t shirt-wearing etc etc. If you’ve offered us support in any way, we salute you!
Hopefully see you in London,
