This years Scampagnata was a resounding success; the turnout was fantastic and it was great to see so many new faces. We would like to thank everyone who came – without your attendance the Scampagnata wouldn’t be the brilliant day that it is.
The Event Gianluigi Fecci, Paolo Balestrazzi and Rob Basini pulled out all the stops for the latest Amici Val Ceno Galles event. With the help of Amanda from BayTree Wine Company, the new committee members organised a fantastic, sell out wine tasting evening at Cardiff’s Cameo Club.
In October 2014, Walter Belli suffered a serious biking accident in Austria, leaving him paralysed from the neck down. He is currently undergoing an intensive rehabilitation and treatment programme in Imola (Italy) and requires 24-7 care, as well as specialist equipment such as an assisted bed, bed lift and wheelchair.
Gerard Opel travelled to Rome earlier this month for the final Welsh and Italian match of the Six Nations 2015. Taking place on 21st March at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, Wales went on to beat Italy 20-61.
