In October 2014, Walter Belli suffered a serious biking accident in Austria, leaving him paralysed from the neck down.
He is currently undergoing an intensive rehabilitation and treatment programme in Imola (Italy) and requires 24-7 care, as well as specialist equipment such as an assisted bed, bed lift and wheelchair.

The Amici Val Ceno have in the past donated to an African School Project. This week we received an update from them and below are photos of their progress. We intend to further support them in the future.

Laura Basini-Gazzi and four other Portsmouth University pharmacy students will cycle from London to Paris to raise money for Venindre Hospital.
Laura tells us that Velindre were fantastic to her mother Lucia and cared for her for many years.
The distance is 400 km and they will do it over three days , leaving London 28 September.
Keep Wales Tidy is fantastic charity that supports thousands of volunteers across Wales to improve the local environment for all of us to enjoy. KWT Projects Director Louise Tambini, would like to make a plea to all Italian cafe and fish shop owners, to try and encourage them to donate the proceeds of the single use carrier bag charge to Keep Wales Tidy so they can continue to give out grants to groups across Wales.
Father and son team, Peter Marenghi Jnr and James, will be runing the London Marathon together, and both will be running to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre.
Peter, who was diagnosed with MS back in 1980’s first ran the London Marathon for the MSRC in 2008.
Peter Marenghi is today running the London Marathon and hoping to raise £10,000 for The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (www.msrc.co.uk). At the recent A.V.C. Cena we raised £125 towards his cause, we could like to thank all those who dug deep and helped Peter towards his goal.

The first combined golf day of the Vision Foundation and the Amici Val Ceno Golf Society took place at Dewston Golf Club on 29 May. Fourteen teams of four players participated.
