By Mark Tambini Saturday morning, 7am. Looking out my window at the torrential downpour the last thing I wanted to do was get up. Then it dawned on me that not only did I have to get up but I had to run around in the woods with a gun in my hand shooting and shouting surrender like a maniac!
The credit for the inspirational idea of a trip to Bardi to see the festival of Cantamaggio must go to Mario Moruzzi who then asked Primo Sidoli and myself Paul Pelopida whether we would like to accompany him to see the event whilst also combining it with a short vacation.
Many guests again enjoyed a first class evening at the Cardiff Hilton in May. The Fantini Band supplied good dancing music, and the Hilton staff excelled themselves, serving an excellent buffet professionally and on time. This year the hotel managed to enlarge the dance floor, which enabled the ‘real’ dancers among us to excel somewhat!
Dewston Golf Club Amici Val Ceno / Vision Foundation Golf The first combined golf day of the Vision Foundation and the Amici Val Ceno Golf Society took place at Dewston Golf Club on 29 May. Fourteen teams of four players participated.
