I have this morning, on my day off visited the webpage for our Government and asked them to consider debating an apology to the Italian Community of South Wales and in Italy re-the loss of life on the Arandora Star during World War II. I feel strongly that our Government should issue an apology for the tragic loss of life and sadness this issue caused over the years, not least to my own family. If you feel the smae way please sign and invite others to sign the petition whiuch means they can then debate it if it has many signatures to it!! Please go here:-

Sincerely,
Fr Mark.

Together with my husband we visited Bardi for a week in Sept 09 and with the help of the Bardi town hall and the local people we found out more than we ever thought possible My mother Maria Laudicino (nee Frazzani) and my grandmother Angiolina Frazzani left Casenove near Bardi 59 yrs ago Not only did we find the old house where the Paganuzzi family live but with the further help of the town hall at nearby Varsi we obtained documents of the familly going back to 1899 Wonderful and we will return
